Presidential Curse


At the battle of Tippecanoe, the future president William Henry Harrison defeated Tecumseh and his twin brother but not before they put a 140 year old curse on the United States. William Henry Harrison was elected President in 1840, and died one month later from pneumonia. In 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected President and was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. In 1880, James A. Garfield was elected President and he was also assassinated. In 1900, William McKinley was elected President and he too was shot. In 1920, Warren Harding was elected President and he died mysteriously in office. In 1940, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected President and he too died in office. In 1960, John Kennedy was elected President and he was assassinated. In 1980, Ronald Regan was elected President and he was shot but he survived ending the curse of President’s elected in a year ending in zero dying in office.
