The chicken that lived for a couple of years without a head

In the mid 1940's a farmer was butchering his chickens by cutting of their heads. When he went back the next morning one chicken was still alive. Experts speculated that the chicken still had it's motor functions because the farmer had left most of its brain intact and a blood clot had stopped the bleeding. So the chicken could still walk around. The family decided to keep the headless chicken as a pet and feed it with an eyedropper down it's throat.

Needless to say, the chicken drew a lot of attention from the locals until eventually the word spread and the family had a celebrity on their hands. The headless chicken became so popular that the family decide to take it on the road. They made a lot of money for a time but eventually the chicken choked to death and that was the end of this wacky story.
